Drawer Magnets

No items found.

Unit Overview:

MPI’s Self-Cleaning 200 Series Drawer Magnets utilize a “Type A” magnetic circuit, which is ideally suited to capture small contaminants, such as wire, metal shavings, and metal wear from dry powder or granular free-flowing product streams in gravity-fed vertical chutes. This Drawer Magnet protects processing equipment, such as milling extruding, and mixing, while assuring high product quality standards with automatic magnet cleaning for maximum magnet performance.

Key Features of Continuous Flow Drawer Magnet

Continuous Flow Design:

  • Terminating product flow is not required to cycle magnets
  • The four-tier design cleans only 2 rows at any time ensuring that the product is still protected while the magnets are cleaning

Key Features of Round Spout Drawer Magnet

  • The product stream flows through one or two tiers (depending on model selection)
of 1” diameter magnetic tubes designed to create an extremely effective magnetic circuit.
The two row units have magnetic tubes staggered to prevent bridging or choking of the
product stream and maximize magnetic filtration as product flows through the housing.
Tramp metal containments move to the underside of the magnetic tubes eliminating tramp metal “wash off.”
The front door panel with magnetic tubes attached can be quickly unlatched, removed and cleaned outside the product flow area

Key Features of Self-Cleaning Drawer Magnet

  • Cleaning Cycle: — Start: After manually or electrically actuating
the solenoid, the cylinders retract, pulling the magnetic tubes through
the stripper assembly to deposit the collected tramp iron outside of the product flow area
  • Finish: The cylinders return to the run position, pushing the magnetic tubes
back through the stripper assembly into the housing (working position)

Key Features of Quick-Clean Drawer Magnet

Product flows through two rows of 1” diameter magnetic tubes, designed to create an extremely effective magnetic circuit. The rows of magnetic tubes are staggered to maximize magnetic filtration as the product flows through the housing. Tramp metal contaminants move to the underside of the magnetic tubes eliminating tramp metal “wash-off.” After terminating the product flow, the magnetic tubes are pulled through non-metallic UHMW stripper assemblies, cleaning the magnetic tubes and depositing the metal contaminants outside the product stream into a collection tray.

Key Features of Manual Clean Drawer Magnet

The product stream flows through two tiers of 1” diameter magnetic tubes designed to create an extremely effective magnetic circuit. The two rows of magnetic tubes are staggered to prevent bridging or choking of the product stream and maximize magnetic filtration as the product flows through the housing. Tramp metal contaminants move to the underside of the magnetic tubes, eliminating tramp metal “wash-off.” After terminating the product flow, the hinged door can be quickly unlatched and opened to allow quick removal and cleaning of each magnetic drawer.
